Cottonwood Creek is located within Nez Perce County, Idaho and is a tributary to the Snake River (shown as number 38 in Figure 1). The watershed encompasses approximately 5,713 acres.Figure 1. Cottonwood Creek Watershed location.

Wetlands

The USDA Soil Survey for Lewis/Nez Perce counties was used to determine the extent of hydric soils within the watershed. Approximately 440 acres were identified and are illustrated in figure 2 (shown in light blue).
