During lunch, the WSU Raptor Club comes down to teach students about the “birds of prey”. Students eat lunch as they listen intently to the presenter who showcases among other things, an owl a farmer found after it’d been injured under a hay bale, and a falcon that was blinded after flying into a chicken fence. In addition to hearing the birds’ individual stories, the students were able to learn about the species.
