The Nez Perce Soil and Water Conservation District received $2,034 from the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Environmental Quality Incentive Program to provide education to transfer direct seeding technology to area agricultural producers. The project was completed in 1999 and consisted of a tour and survey.
A survey was conducted with tour participants to determine if educational goals were met. The results of the Survey are described in the Environmental Quality Incentive Program Direct Seeding Tour Final Report and Survey Results (1999).
The tour was completed on June 16, 1999 and approximately 100 people attended. Tour participants traveled to 3 farms in the Genesee/Colton area to view direct seed equipment operating and talk to growers.
