University of Idaho Nez Perce County Extension office visits with the students about all the by-products of livestock. This station helps students see all the uses of the livestock raised in our area. By the end of this station students are able to answer questions like: “What by-products are made from wool, bones, fat, and horns?”, “What percentage of a beef animal is used form meat and what percentage is used for other items?”, and “What is one item fed to livestock that humans also eat?”
