The Palouse River is a tributary of the Snake River and encompasses 3,303 square miles of land within Washington and Idaho. The Palouse River flows from Idaho into Washington through the towns of Palouse and Colfax, WA.
A small portion of the Palouse subbasin is located within northern Nez Perce County, Idaho (Figure 1). The tributary located in Nez Perce County is referred to as Cow Creek.
