Howard Gulch is located within Nez Perce County, Idaho and is a tributary to the Potlatch River (shown as number 9 in figure 1). The watershed encompasses approximately 6,005 acres.

Wetlands

The USDA Soil Survey for Lewis/Nez Perce counties was used to determine the extent of hydric soils within the watershed. Approximately 192 acres were identified and are illustrated in figure 2 (shown in light blue).
